My Story

Hello my name is Samantha, Sammi for short, and I am a cancer survivor. When I was 2 years old I was told that I had leukemia. Two and half years and 2,517 pills later my body has beaten this awful disease that robbed me of my childhood. While other kids my age were going to school and having birthday parties I had to be in the hospital getting numerous spinal tap and dealing with the side effect of my chemotherapy. Even though I am done with my treatment I still need to have my blood checked monthly to make sure the cancer does not return. I hope one day they find a cure for childhood cancer so no other child has to go through what I did.
