I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team 7-4

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team 7-4

I'm cutting four inches of my hair to raise money for childhood cancer research! Not only do I teach children, but I recently have experienced cancer on a very personal and emotional level. Back in August of 2014, my dad was diagnosed with Stage Four Pancreatic Cancer. I know this is an adult with cancer, but he is my dad, so I can speak to the effects that cancer has on a person and the tremendous tolls it can have on the family. We've had a lot of prayers and thoughts from many people, and I've greatly appreciated each and every one of them. However, I cannot say enough to any one who will listen. Cancer research of all kinds needs the funding! I've donated to other cancer research fund raisers and will do it again in the future - just like I have for this one.

Back to the children - I teach seventh graders, and I have personally taught students who have battled with cancer and some of them still are. I love my students, and I cannot imagine the struggles a parent faces when his/her child has cancer. As a teacher, I know it impacts me personally, and all I want is to see them get better - cancer free! Having said all this, I ask one favor of you today. Please donate to funding the research for kids' cancers, or any cancer for that matter. If you are reading this now and have never experienced cancer first-hand, you are one of the lucky ones, as it impacts almost everyone in some way these days! Cancer is a nasty disease, and we need all the help we can get to fight it!

Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

Thank you ahead of time, for all of your support!

Sincerely,

Sonya Reynolds
