I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Bloomfield's

My name is Rider Bartel and I will be shaving my head this June 14th at Bloomfield's Defiance St. Baldrick's event. " I am doing this to help raise money for kids with cancer. So they can get better and survive." ***This is Rider's Dad Steven......Rider made the quote above, but I can tell you more. You see Rider has had the experience of having a sick baby brother, one dealing with life threatening syndrome. He first hand witnessed what it is like for children, sometimes babies in his brother Avan's case, to have to go through the necessary treatments in order to beat cancer and survive. He has seen the effect on our family and realizes the pain and stress his baby Bro has gone through ( and still goes through now, just not very often thank God ). My wife and I are very proud of him for finding a way to give back to the community that was there for us so many years ago. With out people, kids like Rider, taking their time to give back, to make a difference by raising funds for childhood cancer research our Avan may not be with us today. And I would say that he is definitely here today because of the efforts of so many, so many years ago who decided they too would join the fight in hopes of a brighter future for children and their families. Rider is an amazing kid, I cannot imagine life without him ( or Avan ), and it is because there are families everyday who have to live without their little ones that we do St. Baldrick's. Rider is NOT okay with families not seeing their babies grow up. So please help Rider with his more than noble cause by supporting him and his head shaving, fund raising, cancer fighting quest. Big thanks from Rider Rockwell Bartel!!!!
