I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Starbucks Peace Street

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Starbucks Peace Street

Friends, Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And kid's cancer research is extremely underfunded. My goal: to raise $1000 (+) for St. Baldrick's Foundation by March 1st (THIS Saturday). It's the price I have decided to put on my head. I know that is REALLY short notice. By nature I am a procrastinator and to be honest, it doesn't take more than a few minutes to decide if you would like to come alongside and support me in this. So what do you say? Will you help me reach this goal?! Take a second and read the stories on this page. I couldn't just pick one. I love kids. Everyday, I get to fight to love a group of elementary school kids. They have a place in my heart that is really hard to explain. None of them have cancer, so what does this have to do with me shaving my head and kids with cancer? My time with these kids everyday during my week has taught and grown me more this year than I could have ever imagined. I've gotten to see them grow up and learn new things. I've had the chance to hear them speak their mind and see them figure things out for themselves. I've seen them start to grow into their personalities (not always a good thing) and it excites me for what's next for them. St. Baldrick's fights for kids to have a chance to grow into their personalities and to figure out things for themselves. I'm not shaving for a cause or any attention or because I think it would be cool to see what shape my head looks like. It's for the kids. And to whomever receives this thick, natural, may a say fabulous head of hair, you can thank that good Lord for that---he totally had a hand in every strand. ;) So will you help me reach this seemingly impossible goal over the next day and a half? The biggest help besides donating would be to help me spread the word! Social media is amazing for that. THANK YOU for taking time to read through this. Love, Chorbs P.S.- I'll be getting shaved along with two of my co-workers from Starbucks around 4:10pm. Just FYI. The event is from 11am-5pm on Glenwood between Napper Tandy's and Hibernean!
