I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Daisy

I don’t think of myself as an impulsive person but sometimes a thought comes to me so fast that even I am surprised by it. I AM SHAVING MY HEAD! Mind you, I have threatened to do it a million times especially on bad hair days, but I never thought I would actually do it. Now I will do it for a good cause. That cause: To raise money and awareness for Pediatric Cancer. Cancer, I have to admit, I never really gave it a whole lot of thought because thankfully, it never really had any impact on my own life. Not until recently. Many people know that we adopted a beautiful and healthy little girl from China. In doing that, our lives changed in ways we never could have imagined. One of the best things that happened to us is that we have met many families that also made the decision to adopt. One family in particular has a little girl that came from the same orphanage as our own daughter. These people are not just friends, but they are forever in our hearts as family. Last year we got the word that Elliana “Daisy”, just 6 years old, had brain cancer. We have been walking through this experience with the family ever since. Their fight has become my fight. Not only is it our dream to cure “Daisy” of her cancer, but to fund research that will one day make Pediatric Cancer a thing of the past. I usually never ask for anything, but I am asking now for your help. Will you please sponsor me in this event? Even a little bit will help as it all adds up.
