I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Nowadays, the call to donate to cancer charities seems increasingly redundant. When we think of cancer, most of us envision it as something intangible and distant- something along the lines of feeble children on cereal boxes and infomercials. This isn't the reality if you have cancer or have known or lost someone with cancer. Though I haven't lost any family members through cancer, I know what it's like to lose someone close and to fight a life- threatening disease. They're not experiences that demean you, but rather empower you. I think I can say the same for cancer patients and survivors. However, a cancer patient can overcome a mental fight with cancer, but can still physically be reminded every day of their obstacles. For numerous patients and survivors, this physical memento is in the form of not having hair. I don't want to be cliché, but I really think I this can make someone's life that much more easier, and you can help.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
