Two years ago my good friend and colleague, Kimberly Fleming, learned that her son Wyatt had stage 3 liver cancer. Two years, six rounds of chemo and a liver transplant later, Wyatt is a healthy and happy little boy. Had Wyatt been born 20 years earlier, he would have most certainly died. Medicine has made amazing progress and while the cancer treatments we have today have saved numerous lives, there is still much research to be done.
Unfortunately, not every child who is stricken with cancer survives. My wife, Lisa, works with all pediatric populations, including pediatric oncology patients. She has experienced both the joy of seeing kids conquer cancer and the devastation families feel when cancer wins out. The only way to eradicate this disease is through research. St. Badricks is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
