I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Oakfield

I'm doing this because I want to help kids who are going through cancer. I had cancer so I know how hard it is to go through it. I had tumors in both of my kidneys, called Bi-lateral Wilm's Tumors. It was the hardest thing to go through but with the staff that worked at Children's Hospital and my family helping me go through it, it felt quite a bit easier. I'm 5 and a half years off treatment now and feeling as healthy as ever. I want all these kids that are going through it to know that there are a lot of people out there caring about them because they need all the support they can get and I'm hoping that all the money raised gets used in the best way possible to help them. This is going to be my first time shaving my head so I'm pretty exited and it will kind of be a deja vu from when I had cancer and I lost all my hair. I'm hoping that in the future a lot more people participate in the event because it is an awesome way to give to those who are fighting their way through cancer.
