I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with:
Team Tara
As you may know our daughter Tara was diagnosed with cancer in November 2009. She finished with her treatments in September 2010 and was in remission until her cancer returned last summer. Tara is back in treatment and responding well.
We continue to work with many great doctors and nurses that have dedicated their lives to working with children with cancer. These are very special, caring people that treat our kids. It takes a lot of dedication and research for everyone involved.
On April 14th Dell Children’s Hospital in Austin will be hosting St. Baldricks foundation to raise money for the fight against childhood cancers. I am going to have my head shaved again to raise money for St. Baldricks. I am asking for your donation to help find a cure for this horrible disease. Anything you donate will be greatly appreciated.
Due to hospital construction the event will be held around the corner from the hospital at the Mueller Community Pavilion at 4500 Mueller Central Drive.
One thing this experience has taught me, is that Tara is the toughest young lady I have ever known. The treatments are absolutely brutal and the side effects are long lasting. No child should ever have to go through cancer and its treatments. Your donation will aid in the research needed to find the cure for childhood cancer.
Thank You Very Much,
Mark Penton
