To help kids fighting cancer, I'm a volunteer with the St. Baldrick's Foundation. Please support me!This is my current project at work that I couldn't be happier to be working on. My parent company, Markit, is coordinating a 24-Hour shave to raise money and awareness for the St. Baldrick's Foundation and has asked our office to participate. My role has largely been coordinating and planning the actual event at our office which is set to take place this coming Wednesday, March 16. My team of 40 shavees is just under $400 short of our goal, so I thought I would throw this out there. It's amazing to think we are this close to fundraising $25,000 in five weeks. No, I'm not shaving my head. My donation has been largely dedicating my time to planning and coordinating this event. Being said, I'm proud I can participate this way, and asked to support my company and my community at large with this event. The St. Baldrick's Foundation – a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization in the world except the U.S. government – more than $14 million in 2010 alone. Join us and Let's CONQUER! Look for me at http://www.StBaldricks.org/. So if you are willing and able to help me reach our goal financially or through moral support, I thank you with my whole heart. It may seem like a lot of silly leprechaun-ness and small pot of gold to you, but it really is some kid's rainbow leading them on this St. Paddy's.Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when I ask for your support, I'm really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!Click "Make a donation" to give online, or donate by phone or mail.
