I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Dear Friends and Family, Lasses and Lads, Mom and Dads, Please share with me in honoring Derrick's memory for this humble head shaving event to raise money for children's cancer research. I know the courage Derrick battled his cancer with amazed most of us, he never let it slow him down or give him reason to complain. He taught us all more than we realized how truly important it is to live each and every day with gratitude and grace. I know there are so many causes asking for our money. I ask this; Do you have $5.00 you can donate to support this cause, then ask your friends to do the same. Help spread the word for me- I am really starting this just as it draws to a close. Together, if we can get 100 people to give just $5.00 we can reach the $500.00 goal. Surely, in this we can succeed and Derrick can look down and laugh at my bald head. I'm sure he'd tease that his head was much better shaped! Your prayers strengthened us as he went through so many chemo.treatments, surgeries and radiation. We are profoundly thankful for all the love and support. There were a limited number of treatments available for osteosarcoma, and the need for more options remains. Research for childrens' cancers will provide more treatment options, and hopefully find a cure in our lifetime. I will gladly be a "shavee" to help in this effort. Please take a look at St. Baldrick's website and see how much they are helping to "Shave the way to Conquer Kids' Cancer. Thanks in advance, and May God continue to Bless Us All!
