I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Camp Wapiyapi

Well my friends, I am back for seconds... Terrified and excited as ever! Although the first month after shaving my head was fairly awkward and somewhat hard to get use to, I certainly gained some valuable insights about myself and the world around me. Shaving your head beyond other things, very liberating so feel free to join! Most of you know that for the past two years I have been lucky enough to participate in this wonderful childrens camp called Camp Wapiyapi. These kids and their families have truly stolen my heart - and their strength and smiles have, among other things, encouraged me to pursue a career in Pediatric Oncology. This year I will be shaving my head not only for the kids at Camp Wapiyapi, but also in remembrance of Pike Fary, in honor of my friend Melanie, and in support of my Aunt Shirley who is currently battling this devastating disease. In the US, more children die of childhood cancer than any other disease. St. Baldericks is a fabulous organization that helps provide critical funding towards childhood cancer research. Please make a donation on my behalf to support childhood cancer research so that all children diagnosed with cancer will have a better chance for a cure. To make a donation, click on "Make A Donation" or donate by mail or phone. Thank you for your support!
