I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Memorial Hospital for Children

Yup. It's all gone on April 4th! My daughter, Erica, and I have decided to shave our heads both in solidarity with kids who typically lose their hair during cancer treatment, and to raise critical funds to support research needed to let others survive. Hmmmm, let's see... Help kids. Fight cancer. No bad hair days. Get to sleep in an extra 15 minutes. Sounds like a win-win to me! I'm dedicating this event to Joey - a courageous kid with an amazing family. Joey died from leukemia last year. I also want to honor my Dad; Shell (hon, the microwave is beeping) from my 'Balmer' family; Tall, lean and lovely Sean; The ever effervescent Heather; Uncle Gus; Firefighter Donnie; Shirley; cousins Jimmie, Chip, and Cap'n Jack; Joe's Dad; 'hey girlfriend' Chris from 5/30; Jean; my pups Snooper and Sparky. All are loved. All are members of the cancer club. Some are dancing (or romping) with angels. Join us by offering a prayer, good vibe, or cold hard cash. No donation is too big or too small! To make a donation, click on "Donate Online" or "Donate by mail or phone." Thanks for your support!
