Event Details

It's Colorado Springs' lucky 7th year to host a St. Baldrick's head-shaving extravaganza! PLEASE NOTE: We'd be happy to have as many volunteers who'd like to pitch in, but please don't be disappointed if we may not have anything for you to do right away. We've had a hugely positive response in volunteers. If you are not registered and assigned a job or time slot, look for Cindy, Carolye, or Mallori at the event to see if and where you can help most. Thanks to all our volunteers! We're back at Armstrong Hall where shavees are on center stage under the spotlights right where heroes deserve to be. Come be a hero for children with cancer and shave April 4, 2008 from noon-9:00pm or until all heads are shaved! PLEASE NOTE: If you plan to donate your hair, please visit www.locksoflove.org or www.wigsforkids.org for how to donate your hair. Please be sure your hair is clean and dry before the cutting/shaving. And don't forget your rubber band and plastic bag! HOW TO DONATE HAIR FOR Locks of Love - 10 inches measured tip to tip is the minimum length needed for a hairpiece. - Hair must be in a ponytail or braid before it is cut. - Hair must be clean and completely dry before it is mailed in. - Place the ponytail or braid inside of a plastic bag, and then inside of a padded envelope. - Fill out the hair donation form, or write your name and address on a separate sheet of paper and include inside the envelope. - All hair donations must be mailed to Locks of Love at: 2925 10th Avenue N Suite 102 Lake Worth, FL 33461-3099 Please be sure to use the entire zip code when mailing. Thank you!

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
