I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team Averi

You heard it right - I'm shaving my head in solidarity with children who have cancer and typically lose their hair during treatment, while raising critical funds for childhood cancer research! My 15 year old neice is a true inspiration for all of us as well as the strength of her family. I've also been inspired by friends and co-workers who have been affected by some form of cancer. I haven't had a haircut since August and the comments from friends and family have been hilarious. As one who can say that my head is fully covered by "indoor/outdoor carpet - no worn spots" I feel blessed to participate in this event. Now everyone knows the reason for the "Mophead" hairdo. Stay Strong Pura Vida
