St. Baldrick's
The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer and donor powered charity committed to supporting the most promising research to find cures for childhood cancers and give survivors long and healthy lives.
The History
Tim Kenny, John Bender, and Enda McDonnell founded the St. Baldrick's Foundation on July 4, 1999, as a challenge to see how they would give back for their "good fortune in business". The inaugural event was hosted on March 17, 2000, at Jim Prady's Pub in Manhattan, where $104,000 was raised by 19 shavees.
Total $’s in Grants
Since 2000, donors and volunteers have enabled the foundation to fund over $352 million in grants, making St. Baldrick’s the top charitable funder of childhood cancer research grants.
Why Us?
19 years ago, Bill Hogan and I made a commitment to shave our heads in support of St. Baldrick’s. In our inaugural shave, we raised over $300k and to date, our network has delivered over $7M in contributions. Today the network of friends and companies includes: Fortinet, BMC, Elastic, Vast Data, MainlineRTP, SecurityScorecard, Verituity, NetApp, Thales, Surefire Cyber, and SentinelOne.
