I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Kids Cancer Crew

I'm shaving my head with St. Baldrick's to raise money and help conquer kids' cancers!

Jonathan's mom here .... This year is a bit different. In December a family friend Kailee passed from cancer. She was 9 years old. It took me a while to figure out how to tell Jonathan she had passed. Although Jonathan is very shy, he would talk about Kailee, Miss Cat and Mr Dan as if he spent the whole day with them. Jonathan's response was one we can all learn from. He asked me very confused  "Is it because we didn't raise enough money this year because of the Corona Virus?" To which my response was "No buddy, it's because there isn't enough money for the research. " To which his response was "Well then we need to do more! I NEEEEED to beat Miss Lynne! Then we will have lots of money for research!"

He may not understand just how much it costs to research childhood cancer, but he is right. We need to do more. We need to raise more. Our kids deserve better!
