I have been shaving my head to help raise money for Childhood Cancer Research for the last six years. I will be doing it again on March 7th. People have asked me why I would do something so crazy? The truth is as a nurse I have seen how cancer can impact families first hand and could only imagine how horrible a cancer diagnosis of child could be. Children are innocent victims, they did not create their cancer from a bad habit, they are just struck down. This is one of the reasons why. They need a champion who is willing to fight for them. I want to be one of those.
The other reason I love this cause is each year I have the opportunity to do it with two of the most unselfish people I know. Two people who always give back even when their own lives are not going well. They are my motivation and inspiration to continue to give back. This is the other reason why.
Again, this year I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Every 3 minutes there is a new diagnosis of childhood cancer. Every 3 minutes a family is thrown into turmoil. Every three minutes a child needs a hero. Help me be theirs.
I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
