I am helping to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Thalia's Tyrannosaurs

Hi! My name is Thalia, and I'm here fundraising for St Baldrick's for the 10th year because they saved my life.
I was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma at 15 months old and relapsed twice, so the first few years of my life were spent in hospitals with needles in my arms and tubes in my chest. Part of the reason I'm able to be here today and help fund the amazing work St Baldrick's does is because of a clinical trial funded by donors just like you. Cancer caused irreparable damage to my body, some of it because of unsafe experimental treatments where my parents had to choose between letting me die or risk adding more to my long list of health issues. I'm supporting St Baldrick's so that safer and more effective treatments can be made for pediatric cancers, and other kids won't have to go through what I did.
Thanks to St Baldrick's, I'm 11 years clear and almost 7 years of treatment. While cancer left me disabled, I still try to find as much joy and whimsy in life as I can, and I love hiking, gaming, baking, and playing the bass clarinet and the saxophone. Yess, I am a cancer survivor, and that will never change. But thanks to organizations like St Baldrick's, I get the chance to be more than that. I'm a member of the robotics team, I perform in theater, and I live my life to the fullest extent.
I'm raising money with St Baldrick's to give other kids with cancer the chance to be more. If you want to help, you can donate to the foundation, share this page and this message, or join our team if you want to get more closely involved.
