I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! This Mother's Day when I reach (and hopefully surpass my fundraising goal!) I will shave my head in support, awareness, and solidarity for all of those affected by cancer.
The reason I chose Mother's Day...When I decided to sign up to be a  St.Baldrick's shavee I had a thought, how would I feel if it were my child? My babies? Someone I loved and cared about? I'm shaving for the Moms and THEIR babies who are fighting against cancer.

Also while trying to pick a date, I went in thinking "Well I have this event coming up...This holiday to celebrate... Did I want to be bald for those pictures?" But it dawned on me, who cares? Shaving my head isn't about convenience or looking good. It's to promote awareness. Nobody CHOOSES cancer. These kids didn't get a choice. Lets do this despite my busy schedule and the warmer weather. I should do this now. I know 10 days isn't that long but I believe we can meet this small goal.

Cancer Sucks! Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of babies, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
