I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research!
A few years ago, my friend's daughter did this...Abby was a "shavee". I thought it was incredibly brave and inspiring of her. At the time, I couldn't imagine doing that...and yet, here I am.
Those who know me also know that I've long considered my hair to be one of my better features. In my younger years, my long hair was like a shield from my insecurities. I think it'll be good for me to see who I am without my hair.
Please consider donating to support me and help kids with cancer who don't get to choose whether or not they lose their hair. Even $5 would be great!
