I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research

See how long my hair is? Yes, I will be donating all of it ;) Wouldn't it be fun to watch it all get chopped off? I've been growing out my hair since sophomore year with the intent of donating it ever since I became involved with saint baldrick's, all so I could help children with cancer! Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide, and 1 in 5 of those in the U.S. will not survive.

For those of you who go to LC, I would like you to realize for a moment that there are actually kids, your fellow students, that have been affected with cancer that you may or may not know. Someone you may have even known, or someone you could've known that has walked with you now may never walk with you again. Sadly, sometimes it is the reality. I know it is hard sometimes to care about things other than what we have because sometimes what we have is a lot to deal with. If you look around, we all have our own issues, but like we've all been taught since we've been young, things are better when we work together. Let's join together to make LC a community of people where we are there for and love each other. And for those of you that don't go to LC, it doesn't matter! Let's ALL work together to make this world, this community of ours, a better place :)

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
