To all my friends and family,
Every year, a plethora of us have the misfortune to see someone close to us get diagnosed with cancer. As unfair as that is, an even more unfortunate few of us have to deal with the pain of losing a loved one to cancer.
Out of respect and in an effort to honor all of those that have been affected and effected with this malicious disease, on March 31st, 2011, I will shave my head with a few brothers from my fraternity - Pi Kappa Alpha - to raise funds and awareness for this disease.
We will be representing St. Baldrick's, a childhood cancer fund, that has vowed to alleviate cancer in children who have been diagnosed, before even experiencing the hallmarks of life, ranging from a first Christmas, a birthday or even spending more than a few moments in their mothers' arms.
I ask you to please, donate a few moment of your time and take a look at some of the stories of the children St. Baldrick's is representing. If any of these are touching, please make a small donation to my page (the link is posted below), and vow that you will not stand idly by and have another child feel the coldness of a test tubes before his mother's caress.

For all of you near the New York City area, there is another way you can show support. On the night of the event, Still Bar (located on East 17th and 3rd Avenue), will be hosting a celebration and a party for our event. There, the shavees will be shaved live and in person, as you are encouraged to come up on stage and shave our heads. More so, this event is a celebration for all those that donated and to every child who survived another birthday thanks to your donation.
Please reach out to your friends and family also, and make this event a great success for all of us.
Thank you.
