I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: We Love Our Ginger

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: We Love Our Ginger

Our team, We Love Our Ginger, is participating in this St. Baldrick's event in memory of our dear friend Jenna Langer Vancura. Jenna had 12-year battle with osteosarcoma, a pediatric cancer. One memory that lasts for many of her friends was her strong passion for helping others. Jenna was a force for driving change and awareness for important causes and specifically wished to contribute to St. Baldrick's because, as she said,"they work to fill the enormous gap to fund research that impacts childhood cancer. Only 4 percent of the National Cancer Institute’s budget is directed toward childhood cancer research while the average number of years of life lost to cancer among adults is only 15. For kids it’s 71." More facts from St. Baldrick's: childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers. For more inspiration from our dear Ginger, check out her blog below: https://jennaclanger.wordpress.com/ Thank you for your consideration in donating!
