I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Team 7

Thank you for visiting my St. Baldrick’s webpage! My name is Ryan Hamel and I’m in 7th grade at Lincoln Jr. High in Park Ridge. A year and a half ago a former classmate of mine, Molly Kohl from St. Emily’s School in Mt. Prospect lost her battle to cancer. Molly was diagnosed at the beginning of 4th grade with leukemia she was a firecracker of person who always kept our class laughing and will always be remembered for her silliness. When Molly died I was really sad and I realized how many kids, younger than me, my age and older than me are battling every day to survive. As a family we've participated in walks and made donations, but I wanted to do something on my own to support and help out. This year I’ve decided to participate in the upcoming St. Baldrick’s event in honor of Molly and I need your help and support to not just reach my goal – but exceed it. Please consider making a donation, when you make a donation you are helping so many children with cancer who are fighting so hard just to stay alive. You CAN make a difference. . Thank you!

We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
