I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Working on one full year of hair; I have not had it cut since it was shaved for Baldrick's last year with this event in mind! The mustache has been going for a little over four months now - help me hit my goal and my students will have a bald English teacher with a handlebar mustache for at least a week.

Last year we raised $655 in a little over two weeks, but in high school ('09-'10) we raised over a $1000, so let's get back over that 1k mark. I've donated $20 to get things rolling, but I will also be donating in my grandmother's name, Shirley Schaub, who recently passed away; Shirley was a breast cancer survivor and she loved to hear about these events whenever I went and saw her.

In fact, the first time I ever found out she was a survivor was when I wore a breast cancer awareness shirt to her house during my junior or senior year in high school.  A vivacious woman, she would be proud to know that the fight continues!

- Charlie Schaub

"I'm shaving my head to raise money for childhood cancer research! Did you know that kids' cancers are different from adult cancers? It's true. And childhood cancer research is extremely underfunded. So I decided to do something about it by raising money for cures.

Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers."
