I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research

Update:
Well if you couldn't tell based on the highlighter like mop on my head , we passed $1000! Thank you so much for the help and support! Can we hit $1500?! I am always willing to take on another challenge!
-------------------------------------------------
Update:
Well I have surpassed my goal of 200 miles and we blew by our goal of $500.  Now I just have my half marathon to run the day before the event!
As I promised a buddy of mine, if we pass the $1000 mark, I will turn this mop on my head into a pink Mohawk and rock it until it's shaved off at the event...just something to think about...
----------------------------
Hey All! It's that time of the year again, where I put away the clippers until March and let the hair grow out just to have it all shaved off again. Last year I stepped it up setting a fitness goal, which I will be doing again this year. By the time of the event I will have run at least 200 miles with an attempt to close it out with a half marathon. This is my fourth year being involved with St. Baldrick's and I look forward to the events and the fundraising every year! Please help me meet that goal of $500 which will go towards the much needed funding for childhood cancer research. On average each day, 36 children in the US are diagnosed with cancer...that's over 13000 a year! With that being said, the National Cancer Institute only spends about 4% of it's budget on childhood cancer research. Please help us fund more research to find more cures! Oh, I also invite everyone to make fun of my hair as it goes through it's awfully awkward stages of growing out!
