I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: 7 North Nurses vs. Cancer

I shaved to raise money for childhood cancer research with: 7 North Nurses vs. Cancer

I'm a Pediatric Heme/Onc Nurse who works at Golisano Children's Hospital right here in Rochester, NY. I am blessed to be able to care for little fighters every day as they battle childhood cancer. I am inspired every time I go to work by the strength, love, and courage that our fighters show day in and day out.

When I was young I lost a close friend to childhood cancer and I vowed then to become a Nurse and care for little ones, just like her. My job is amazing and I love what I do through the happy times and the sad.

This past year has come with much joy for my patients and families but also much heartache. For these reasons I decided that I would shave my head to raise money for all of the fighters and angels that I have been blessed to care for.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
