I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Prairie Strong

I helped to raise money for childhood cancer research with: Prairie Strong

I am doing this in Honour of Micah and in Memory of Nevaeh, Leif and Sammy.
Our journey with cancer began on September 23, 2013 when Micah went in for an MRI because of headaches, nausea and vomitting.  That night is when our life changed forever as Micah was diagnosed with a brain tumour.  One week later he had brain surgery to remove the tumour.  Following that was high dose radiation to his brain and spine and intense chemotherapy.  We celebrate with Micah that he is now Cancer Free, but many of these things have left their mark in his body.   I want to raise awareness and money for research so that children don't have to suffer through such terrible treatment and so that all children can be Survivors.   Each year 1600 children are being diagnosed with cancer in Canada and 1 in 4 of those will die of the disease.  Less then 4% of the Cancer Research Budget in Canada goes towards Childhood Cancer Research.
Now I need your help! Will you make a donation? Every dollar makes a difference for the thousands of infants, children, teens, and young adults fighting childhood cancers.

I would like to encourage you watch the powerful video on the right called Your child has cancer.

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
