My Story

Arie "Ms Toots" Baugh born at 28wks gestation on Sept 3,12 Arie beat many odds, Even with staying her first 7wks of her life at St Joseph NICU. After celebrating Her 1st birthday Arie got diagnosed with unknown tumor the size of a pineapple on her left kidney. After surgery to remove her left kidney and tumor she was diagnosed what look like a "Wilms Tumor". Of course the tumor was sent to pathology and studies. So pathology results showed Wilms but studies showed clear cell carcinoma and was 100% sure it's was Clear cell. So start chemo for Clear cell. It's was a long 8 1/2 months. Multiple hospital admiration, radiation and blood/platelet transfusions.  May 15,2014 we celebrated her last day of chemo. And June 23 she was hospitalized with bilateral pneumonia. Unfortunately our beautiful little girl got tired and couldn't fight anymore. July 4,2014 she was put in a coma and placed on a ventilator. July 8, 2014 Arie went on to heaven. Arie beat up kidney cancer and left a lasting beautiful smile for us to always remember. She always had a smile on her face no matter what she felt or how sick she was. She was one strong baby.
