The information you've all been waiting for is set!

The Bracket Meister scheduled over 200 games on six courts over the course of 9 hours.

We have our most teams ever --101--so it will be a full and busy day of hoops and we need your help to make it flow smoothly!

PLEASE --especially if you are new to our event--read ALL of the info below.

Star this email and refer back to it. Share with your team; we will email our full list of participants as well later.

Remember this is a charity event run by volunteers. We work hard to provide a fun day and raise a lot of money. We expect our players and spectators to understand that. Our referees are volunteers and they are human beings.

SESSION TIMES:

8 a.m.: Second Grade

10 a.m.: Third Grade

Noon: Fourth Grade

2:15 p.m.: Fifth grade

4:45 p.m. Sixth Grade

7 p.m.: Seventh/Eighth Grade

SESSION INFO:

**Sessions and Game times are set and can not be changed. Please do not ask. Expect a game right at start time.

** Arrive 15 minutes before your start time and send one person to check in your team.

**Preliminary rounds are group play, teams are randomly assigned. All teams guaranteed a minimum of three games--some divisions have an odd number of teams.

**Games take place in the big gym (Courts 1-4) and the small gym (Courts 5-6) so that everyone gets a chance to play in the big gym.

*All games in each round start at the same time; if your team is late, it will cause a shorter game or a forfeit.

**Teams may finish play before the duration of the age group time slot.

** We do our best to keep everything running on time--but stuff happens. Please be patient.

** All players report to the BIG GYM for the start of the session, even if games are in the small gym.

**All players get free food and drinks and a T-shirt.

GAME RULES:

*Games are quarter court; 7/8 Championship games will be half court

*10 minute running time games with ELAM ending. When regulation minutes are up, target score is set by refs at 1 or 2 points higher than leading score and play continues for a set amount of time until one team reaches target score (We reserve the right to shorten regulation time if tournament is running behind)

*Baskets are worth one point

*No free throws

*After every change of possession teams take the ball back to designated floor spot before attempting to score. Take backs to basketball spot on side courts, 3 point line on half courts

*All out of bounds, fouls, or start of possessions start at the top of the key

*Have to pass the ball in to start possession

*No possession (team that scores does not get the ball back)

*2nd and 3rd grade divisions play on 9 foot hoops

*All girls plus 2-5 grade boys play with 28.5 ball

*Teams can substitute freely since not all teams have subs

*Multiple refs will oversee each court **THEY ARE VOLUNTEERS, TREAT THEM KINDLY!**
