West Milford Conquers Cancer

Be a hero for kids with cancer!

This is the 5th year that the West Milford Company 4 Fire Department has opened up their doors to host this event.   For anyone who has participated in the past, you know that it is a very special event.  It really is a great community event.  We are proud to say that together we have raised over $100,000 for pediatric cancer research!!

As it stands, 80% of children diagnosed with cancer, will be cured.    This is a huge increase of successful cases compared to just 10 years ago.  We still must do more to ensure that success rate reaches 100%.   There are great doctors around the world who have stepped up by putting in countless hours of research to increase the success rate in treating pediatric cancers.  They need our help to continue the research needed so that no parent loses their child to cancer.  We  need participants and volunteers to step up and reach out to the community in helping us raise as much money as we can for Saint Baldricks.       Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement!  The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

We are asking for everyone to reach out to family, friends and the community to donate, participate and to spread the word.  This year’s event will again feature live music, free BBQ, family fun activities at one of the finest Fire Departments in New Jersey.  The sad fact is 1 out of every 5 children diagnosed with cancer will not survive, every 3 minutes a parent is told their child has cancer, we must do better! Please join us in 2016 to FIND A CURE

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
