Our Event Mission is to display compassion and nurture community engagement while raising awareness and essential funding, to one day, find a cure for Pediatric Cancer.
Our Story:
What began as a small community event to honor two classmates, Ethan Toohey (forever 15) and Robert Nagg (forever 17), who each lost their battle with pediatric cancer has turned into one of the largest St. Baldrick's events Nationwide. Over the past several years, the New-Hope Solebury community has raised close to $500,000 for Pediatric Cancer Research.
Our community has also chosen to honor , Dominic Liples
(forever 8) who passed away on December 7, 2016 after a 9 month battle with brain cancer. Dominic has left a lasting impact on tens of thousands of people, and to continue his legacy, his parents have since created a
HERO fund through the St. Baldrick's Foundation. 100% of all Dominic's donations go towards funding research for High Grade Gliomas. These are some of the fastest growing, and most aggressive forms of pediatric cancers--for where there is no known cure. The good news is that you can support Dominic's HERO fund directly through our event!

About the Event:
The New Hope Solebury St. Baldrick’s annual event is held each March, from 11-3 at the New Hope-Solebury Upper Elementary School. Our event is FREE to the public and includes a multitude of activities:
Our main stage event features our shavees and donate 8" team with our team of skilled barbers and stylists. Our "shavees" raise money to either shave their heads, or donate 8" of hair in solidarity of kids in treatment. Over the past 4 years we have had over 500 kids and adults,( both male and female) BRAVE THE SHAVE and our newest event, the DONATE 8" hair team is gaining popularity!
Not ready to Rock the Bald? No problem! Even if you don't want to #bravetheshave, there are lots of ways to show your support!
Our other festivities include: carnival games, 3 v 3 basketball, face painting, lego station, silent auction, raffle baskets, shopping vendors, food, a photo booth, and MC running throughout the day.
There is something for everyone! and most importantly, 100% of all proceeds raised goes directly to the St. Baldrick's Foundation.
