To our Shavees, Volunteers and thoughtful donors,It is an honor for us to dedicate this year's event to Mia Keene. Mia was diagnosed in early January with Stage IV Wilms. In February, Mia underwent surgery to remove her kidney, gall bladder, adrenal glands and lymph nodes. She's currently undergoing chemo and radiotherapy at Queen Mary's, Hong Kong to treat the remaining tumors in her liver and lungs.Mia has amazed her family, friends and doctors with her bravery, humor and enthusiasm over the last three months. She's recently started to ride her bicycle again, she's been going to her friend's birthday parties, and has just started to re-attend school (DBIS in Discovery Bay). She's been a genuine inspiration to us all. Her father Gary is one of the DB Dads shavees at our event. Come join us for a great time for a great cause. Let's Conquer Kid's Cancer Together!
