Here we go again folks, YEAR 8! First of all, I'm sorry for the late start. Secondly, let's have a little history.
In 2006, I lost my 8 month old little girl, Isabella, to Leukemia after a long 3 month courageous battle. I know a few co-worker's who had experienced a similar event in their lives. In 2007, The Douglas County Sheriff's Office, my employer, agreed to host our first event. Six event's later and over a quarter million dollars raised, we are doing it again to honor those who have battled, are battling and lost the battle to childhood cancer. This is a fight that we need as many warriors as possible. Government funding for research is at an all time low yet there are children being diagnosed daily with various types of cancer. This is what we as a community need for you to do!
Be a hero for kids with cancer!Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers.
