Event Details

Be a hero for kids with cancer! Join this St. Baldrick's event, and whether you decide to shave your head, volunteer, or donate, we hope you'll be a part of the excitement! The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Get involved and you'll be giving hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers! The fact that childhood cancer research is in great need of funding, isn't the only reason for my hosting this event. I too, have heard the devastating words- "your child has cancer". In May 2015, my son Joseph, a happy, healthy 16 year old, was diagnosed with non-germinomatous germ cell tumors in two spots of his brain. The days after that, were long and painful for him, with extensive life saving treatments at Penn State Hershey Children's Hospital. To watch my son and all of these other children fight for their lives is the hardest thing I've ever endured. As of January 2016, Joseph has been declared "free and clear" of his tumors, with no evidence of disease. He still has to fight for every day he is given, but Thanks to God and the Doctors and Nurses at PSHCH, he is alive. So help me and help the kids take Childhood back from cancer. PLEASE- DONATE NOW
