Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

Rocky Vista University SOMA Virtual 5K - April 23rd - May 1

Every 2 minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer worldwide and 1 in 5 won't survive. Yet despite the fact that more children are lost to cancer in the U.S. than any other disease, the world was understandably distracted in 2020 and fundraising results mirrored the times. With 435 fundraising events being canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, funding for advances in cancer treatment dropped significantly.

In order to help fill this gap in funding, the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) at Rocky Vista University is proud to be putting on a virtual 5k fundraiser event April 23rd to May 1st, 2021. All donations collected will go directly to the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Get involved today and you'll be giving hope to children, young adults and, of course, this events 4 St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids currently battling childhood cancer (listed below) and living right here in Parker, CO. If you'd like to participate in this virtual 5k event or create your own page for fundraising, click "Join Us" above to be a part of the excitement. 

Here at Rocky Vista University, we foresee a day when every child can be promised a cure and by donating here, you can help to make that dream into a reality. Whether you decide to generously donate what you can, share this page on social media or, join SOMA  by fundraising and running in the virtual 5k event, together we will help kids grow up cancer-free!
