Event Details

When you've had a child battle cancer, it changes you.  It saddens you. It hardens you. It angers you. It tests you. The relationships you had before the diagnosis, whether it's with your spouse, children, parents, siblings, friends, neighbors or colleagues, are not the same as they once were. You are seen as different because you are different.

How people cope with the change is different for everyone. For some of us, it's channeling that emotional rollercoaster through doing something to help. And it's not about helping your own child but about helping and hopefully preventing other children from suffering and other families from being torn apart.

And that's what Jake's Journey to Find a Cure has been about since 2017, when our then 20-month old, Jake, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. While the most common and treatable form of pediatric cancer, it's also a grueling treatment process. But after 1,220, he took his last dose of chemo on June 2, 2020.

And during that time, Jake's Journey held four head shaving events for St. Baldrick's, starting with just four shavee's in 2017 to more than 30 in 2020, raising more than $125,000 in total.

And so for one final time, Jake's Journey will bring friends, family and colleagues together to not only "Celebrate" his journey but to also honor all of those kids who have battled or are still battling cancer today.

It is our hope that these events will continue to inspire others to take part in this effort to give kids and parents something we all yearn for during these darkest of times...hope.

Join our event, in their honor and memory.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
