On June 12, 2021 Andrew Zeidman will be called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah. Part of the process is leading a mitzvah project to support an important cause. Andrew has chosen to support St. Baldrick’s who’s purpose is to cure childhood cancer.
Curing childhood cancer is very important to Andrew since it has effected his family and friends directly. Andrew first became a St. Baldrick’s shavee (which he calls a shavester) in 2016 along with several members of his Cub Scout Den in support of one of their fellow scouts who has now been battling pediatric cancer for 8 years and thankfully currently has clear scans. This cause is also very important to him since his cousin Morgan was diagnosed with a neuroblastoma when she was less than a year old and is now a healthy 17 year old.
For his project he is asking his friends and family to join in supporting the cause, create their own page and help in fundraising and would love if they also become shavees. Due to the pandemic this event is fully virtual. All we ask is to please share pictures if you choose to become a shavee. Thanks for your help in supporting such an important cause.
