Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

Striving for More

Our team will be shaved from 7:30-8:00pm on Saturday! In March 2008, our team captain's nephew (who is a firefighter asked if he could honor their daughter, Colleen by shaving his head during a St. Baldrick's foundation event). Our team captain, Diane, went to the event and found an amazing experience. Three months later, Colleen, sadly died of the cancer she so bravely fought for 9 months. In 2009, we put the first Striving for More team together and it had 10 wonderful people together for what we hope is an annual tradition. This year, we hope to get more people on the team and exceed the more than $11,000 that the Striving for More team raised in 2008. This money will be used to help the St. Baldrick's foundation fund more research to find additional treatment and hopefully a cure. The more than 12,000 children a year that are diagnosed with cancer is 12,000 too many children who are suffering! Please consider joining our team and shaving your head! About Striving for More, Inc: Striving for More is a non profit organization that was established in response to the alarming lack of emotional support available to children with cancer. We want to make sure that no family has to endure this experience alone. For more information about Striving for More, please see http://www.striving4more.org
