It is incredible what a group of caring people can do when we put our heads together. At our St. Baldricks event at Napper Tandys in Raleigh, we shaved over 400 heads. Even more exciting is the $200,000 those bald (and un-bald) heads and our volunteers raised to find cures for childhood cancer! I want to let you know how much we appreciate you supporting us for this fun and meaningful event. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! Your time, service and support was priceless to us. In 2009, the St. Baldricks Foundation gave over $12 million to pediatric cancer researchers for two purposes: to find cures for childhood cancers, and to improve the quality of life for patients and survivors. To see what is funded with the money we raised in 2010, please keep an eye on our Web site: www.StBaldricks.org. Grants are made in July and October. By supporting St. Baldricks, you are a hero to over 160,000 kids worldwide who are diagnosed with cancer every year. We will be shaving heads again next year, and it is never too early (or late!) to get involved, so please feel free to ask me how you can get more involved. We will keep Shaving the Way to Conquer Kids Cancer until there is a cure. Again, thank you sooooo much for being a part of the cause and I will look forward seeing you all again next year! It was an honor having you there. Any thoughts, ideas, and/or concerns for next year would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids

Kids with cancer are our reason for it all. They’re the inspiration behind our event and the reason we’re helping fund childhood cancer research. We believe all kids should be able to grow up and turn their dreams into realities. Join our event or make a donation, and click the photos below to read their incredible stories.
