Hi, we are Nick Meyer, Nicholas Cicero, Smith Mohler, and Duncan McDonnell, and we are the St. Albans 2019 brave the shave team. I am Nick Meyer, and this spring I’m currently playing on the varsity lacrosse team with Duncan and Smith, while Nicholas is a catcher on the varsity baseball team. Smith, Duncan, and Nicholas have all been at Saint Albans since fourth grade, and I joined them in sixth grade, and we’ve loved our time at STA ever since.

I first met Olivia the fall of our freshman year in high school at a Yorktown football game, just after she moved back to the US from Belgium. After just a few minutes talking to her, I knew we were going to be good friends. When she was first diagnosed with osteosarcoma, I didn’t know what to do or say. Despite my poor comforting skills at the hospital, Olivia remained positive and optimistic throughout her treatment and I knew she was going to kick the shit out of that bitch tumor in her knee.

Nicholas and I both shaved our heads at her event last June to raise awareness, and we all hope to continue to raise awareness as well as money for future progress in the treatment of osteosarcoma and all cancer. We would all appreciate it greatly if you would donate any amount that you can, big or small, towards our cause. Thank you.
