Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

National Partner

Team NYSEG-Remembering Michael Motorcycle

Meet Michael & Parker McBride....Our team ~ Team NYSEG ~ has choosen to honor and remember a very brave Warrior who lost his very fierce battle with Cancer on June 13, 2011 at the age of 6 - Michael "Motorcycle" McBride. Parker is Michael's older brother who is just 8 years old and just like his parents, his world came crashing down when Mikey died. To hear the words "your child has cancer" is incomprehensible and crushing, but then to hear the words "I'm sorry, there is nothing more we can do for your son" as Michael's parents heard ~ there is no greater loss as a parent. Cures and better treatments are desperately needed for these kids. That is why we've teamed up to have our heads shaved – to stand in solidarity with kids fighting cancer, but more importantly, to raise money to find cures so little boys like Michael can be given the chance to grow up!

Please support us with a donation to the St. Baldrick's Foundation. This volunteer-driven charity funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government.

Your gift will give hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. So when we ask for your support, we're really asking you to support these kids. Thank you!
