Here she is...... my baby girl , Jamie Deibel !! Jamie was 12 years old when she was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia. She was a high risk patient with a 60% survival rate. Scary stuff for a parent. Oh , did I mention this occured the week of 9/11. On Tuesday, 9-11-01 the world was turning upside down and two days later , our family was on the downslide as well. After 2 1/2 years of treatment, I am lucky to say that Jamie is a survivor. She is now 23 years old and a graduate of two universities with two majors. She is working towards becoming a Child Life Therapist at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, KY where she was treated. If you haven't heard of this profession, these are the people who keep the kids in the hospital sane. Truly, no lie, mental health intact ! She will be awesome at it. Plus, she gets to do fun things with the kids ! Let's just keep donating til childhood cancer no longer exists ! Any amount will do. Little coins turn into big money. Big money goes to research . Research leads to NO MORE CANCER ! Thanks ! From our heart !!
