Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

National Partner

Fraud Busters

It is that time of year again when we all come together and honor the memory of those touched by cancer. As a cancer survivor myself and knowing many that have been touched by and have lost loved ones to the disease I am all for finding a cure!!! This year we will be shaving our heads in honor of Matthew Gonzalez. For those that participated or joined us last year, you may recall that Matthew was with us at Napper Tandy's in Smithtown to watch his dad Greg participate in St. Baldrick's Day. It was shortly thereafter that Matt was diagnosed with Leukemia and Lymphoma. With the love and support of his family and friends at his side he waged a courageous battle over the next two months before he was called home in May 2009. It is only fitting that we honor the memory and life of this extraordinary young man! This year's event will be held on Saturday March 13th, 2010, 4 PM at Napper Tandy's Irish Pub on Main Street in Smithtown NY. I know we are in some very tough fiscal times and money is a concern for all, however I am again asking for your help and support for this very worthy cause! There are a number of ways that you can contribute; fill out the attached form and send in a check/cash, or you can go to www.Stbaldricks.org look up my name or the Fraud Busters and donate on line. Any amount is greatly appreciated! Last year we rose over $8 thousand, and this year we are shooting for $10 thousand. Together as a team we can do it!!! So spread the word the Cone Heads are back!
