Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

National Partner

Baldikans

The Baldikins are a group of friends who have rotated through the St. Baldrick's Colorado Springs events since 2003 with various team names. Collectively, we've raised approximately $20,000 in the quest for a cure for children's cancer. We started this effort and continue it in honor of our two good friends, Patricia and Annette. Their fight against grown up cancer is on-going but they remain optimistic and they are kids at heart. Back in 2003, the plan was to shave our heads in solidarity with Annette. She discovered St. Baldrick's and suggested we broaden our reason to be bald. And, so, here we are again. We learned recently that the daughter of one of our family members is also fighting cancer. So, we add Kaitlyn Dillard to our list of honorees. Just a few hours before our team's schedule shaving, we learned of the death of a friend's brother from brain cancer. With great sadness, we add Tom Carleo to our list of honorees.

St. Baldrick’s Honored Kids
