Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

National Partner

Brave Like Gus

My team is shaving their heads in honor of my son, and their nephew and warrior, Gus.

Gus is 6 years old and was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Our family is at the very beginning of what will likely be a long treatment journey, about 2.5 years. Like so many families facing childhood cancer, our lives changed overnight. What hasn’t changed is Gus himself, he is brave, funny, resilient, and continues to bring light to everyone around him.

To support Gus and the thousands of other children fighting cancer, his uncles Matt and Jim, along with our cousin Stephen, are shaving their heads to raise money for childhood cancer research through the St. Baldrick's Foundation. The funds raised go directly toward developing better treatments and cures, because children deserve therapies designed specifically for them, and a future free from this disease.

We are incredibly proud of Gus and inspired by his strength every single day. This team is for him, and for every child and family facing childhood cancer.

If you’re able, please consider donating, sharing our page, or cheering on our team as they shave their heads in solidarity for kids like Gus.

For Gus, for kids with cancer, until cures are found.
