Celebrating 25 Years

St. Baldrick’s started as a grassroots effort 25 years ago, driven by people who believe in helping kids with cancer.

Team Chenk

Join me and my team to have some fun – and be a hero for kids with cancer!

Thank You all for your continued support in helping me make a difference in the lives of kids like myself who are diagnosed with this horrible disease. Together we can make a difference and I thank you for helping me make this event a success!

Our last three St. Baldrick's Chenkstrong Events have raised over $75,000 for Childhood Cancer Research. That would not be possible without your help! Thank you!

Always, Christian

My Story:

After returning from his Junior year of college I began experiencing excruciating headaches. After a many trips to the doctors and a second trip to the hospital the doctors found a tumor mass behind the frontal lobe in my head the size of a small apple. After a few days in the hospital the doctors were ready to operate and remove my tumor. It took back to back brain surgeries totaling over 10 hours to remove the mass in front of my head.

The biopsy later revealed the mass was a Glioblastoma Tumor, an aggressive and dangerous type of brain tumor. The news was shocking but with a positive attitude I went into treatment headstrong. After my first round of chemo and 6 weeks of radiation I decided to return to college and finish my Senior year at Plattsburg. I continued chemo through my senior year, coming home for scans and doctor appointments. I graduated May of 2022! Certainly a huge accomplishment with all I went through.

I have been in remission since September 2022. I continue with MRI scans every three-four months now and continues to keep a positive attitude. The only way I roll!

Thank you for supporting me and the more than 300,000 kids worldwide who will be diagnosed with cancer this year. By sharing the gifts of your time, talent and money with the St. Baldrick's Foundation, you're supporting research to give all kids with cancer a better chance for a cure.

Our event will speed the search for cures through St. Baldrick’s, the largest charity funder of childhood cancer research grants.

Sign up to shave your head or to just raise money. Can’t join us?

Please make a generous donation to give kids the long, healthy lives they deserve. NO donation is too small!

You can accelerate the next 25 years of cures for kids with cancer!
