Hi,  My name is Jean Lawrence.  This year will be the fifteenth year that I have shaved my head to raise money for childhood cancer research.

On December 13, 2002, when she was nine years old, our oldest granddaughter, Taylor, had a stroke.  Two months later, she was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.  She fought this hideous cancer for sixteen months with humor, courage, and always, with more concern for her family than for herself.

Looking at Taylor's little face, looking into her beautiful eyes, and knowing there was nothing else anyone could do to take away this death sentence:  this is why I shave my head to raise money for childhood cancer research.
