On June 18, 2014, Hannah, our beautiful 12 year old preteen with a beautiful, sensitive heart for others, was diagnosed with a medulloblastoma brain tumor. It was the size of a tennis ball in between her brain stem and cerebellum.
Since Hannah’s diagnosis in 2014, she has undergone surgery to remove the tumor, had 31 radiation treatments and 6 cycles of chemotherapy.
When Hannah was little she was a very determined child. As her parents, we often joked that “God was training her for something big in her life because she was stubborn!” Little did we know….
Hannah handled all of her therapies with grace and the same determination and focus she had as a little girl. Hannah completed her treatment plan on February 20, 2015 and has had clean scans since.
She skis with the ARCH (Adaptive Recreation) program at Children's Hospital.
Hannah is legally blind because of the size and location of her tumor under her optic nerves. Needless to say, her life has changed drastically from her pre-cancer life. Hannah finds something good in everything and everyone… even after all she’s been through, she will find something ‘sunny’ about every day and every situation.
When Hannah’s treatments were over, Hannah & her sister received a goldendoodle puppy as a gift. They named her NED, which stands for No Evidence of Disease.

Hannah is now 14, almost 15 and a Freshman in High School. She attends Colorado Springs Christian School.
In her life post cancer, Hannah has managed her class volleyball team, ran the 100m & long jumped with her school track team. She is an artist & has painted a few pieces of art for others. Most recently she has also started taking specific classes to help her learn life without her vision @ the Colorado School for the Deaf & Blind.
Through the past 3 years, a verse that has been dear to Hannah's heart, is Jeremiah 29:11. For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' She may still be learning & working on what His plan for her is, but we know it's going to be AMAZING!
One of Hannah's favorite quotes, even before cancer is 'She believed she could, so she did.'
Boy did she! ❤
